Ingo Gottwald is a lawyer and tax advisor at BDO Legal. He is a member of the Corporate/M&A practice group.

He provides comprehensive tax and corporate law advice to clients in transactions at BDO since 2006. In addition to tax due diligence and annual tax reviews for audits of annual and consolidated financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code, Ingo Gottwald specializes in the development and implementation of tax-optimized concepts for the restructuring of medium-sized and listed corporate groups of various sizes and business orientations. Due to his additional specialization in banks and financial service providers, he advises them in the area of regulatory law. The mixture of different fields of work in the context of transactions and reorganizations makes him an all-rounder and competent contact for tax law, corporate law and regulatory issues. 

Ingo Gottwald studied law in Hamburg. He holds a degree in finance (Diplom-Finanzwirt (FH)) and worked for 12 years in the Hamburg tax authorities. 

When he is not working for his clients, he enjoys running and playing soccer. He enjoys traveling the world with his family.
