The activity of notaries encompasses the certification and authentication of documents for legal transactions and of documents regarding factual determinations. 

Notaries are holders of a public office, which has been conferred upon them by the state, and act in this capacity as sovereign official authority. The attorney notaries exercise their activity independently outside the scope of activity of BDO Legal Law Firm mbH and of the BDO Network.
